Relationships Matter Live Delivers Raw, Real Talk on Love, Marriage & Healing

Updated: Jun 3, 2025

This past Sunday, I had the privilege of attending Relationships Matter Live: Where Real Conversations Transform Love! — and let me tell you, it was more than just an event. It was a movement.

Held at Curate in Atlanta’s West Midtown, the space was filled with an energy that only happens when people show up ready to be vulnerable, open, and real. Hosted by the incomparable Chanel Nicole Scott (@chanelnicolescott), the evening brought together a powerhouse panel of reality TV stars and influencers including Married to Medicine’s Dr. Heavenly (@dr_heavenly) and Dr. Damon Kimes, Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’s Yung Joc (@joclive) and Kendra Robinson (@attorneykendra_robinson), and influencer Deiondra Sanders (@deiondrasanders).

From the moment the conversation began, it was clear this wasn’t going to be your typical relationship panel. The dialogue was raw, unfiltered, and refreshingly honest. The couples didn’t shy away from the tough stuff — infidelity, public scrutiny, communication breakdowns — and instead leaned into the discomfort to share how they’ve grown through it. Dr. Heavenly and Dr. Damon offered a beautiful balance of perspectives, with her fiery passion and his calm wisdom creating a dynamic that felt both relatable and aspirational.

Yung Joc and Kendra Robinson were equally transparent, opening up about the complexities of maintaining love in the spotlight. Their honesty was disarming, and their chemistry undeniable. Deiondra Sanders brought a powerful voice to the conversation, especially around self-worth and healing from past wounds — a message that resonated deeply with many in the room.

What truly set this event apart were the interactive elements. From on-screen quizzes to thought-provoking prompts and live audience engagement, the experience was immersive and deeply personal. The Relationships Matter Conversational Card Decks were a standout — guiding attendees through meaningful discussions on trust, vulnerability, and emotional healing.

After the event, I had a chance to speak briefly with Chanel Nicole Scott, the visionary behind the movement:

Q: What inspired you to create Relationships Matter Live?

Chanel: “I wanted to create a space where people could have the conversations they’re afraid to have — the ones that actually move the needle in relationships. We’re not here to sugarcoat. We’re here to heal.”

Q: What do you hope people walk away with?

Chanel: “Clarity. Whether you’re single, married, or somewhere in between, I want people to leave feeling seen, heard, and equipped to love better — starting with themselves.”

The night ended with hugs, laughter, and a few tears — the good kind. It was a reminder that love isn’t always easy, but it’s always worth the work. Relationships Matter Live wasn’t just a conversation — it was a breakthrough.

If you ever get the chance to attend, don’t hesitate. This is the kind of experience that stays with you long after the lights go down.
