Opinion: Should Kamala Harris Be Allowed To Tell Us ,"I Told You So"?

Over the past few weeks, the Trump Administration has been making decisions that are affecting millions of Americans. From health insurance to SNAP funds, DEI policies, and many more. You even have politicians defending his policies by saying, “We all are going to die one day anyways” and even suggesting that Senior Citizens should get back into the workforce instead of being on Medicare. However, what seems to have been a major turning point, considering everything else that has happened, is the brewing feud between Elon Musk and #DonaldTrump.
It all started when #ElonMusk criticized Trump's “Big Beautiful Bill” that would leave millions of Americans without beneficial government funding. Trump then begins to address Musk through his Truth Social app and also through the media. Trump has even threatened Musk by saying he will revoke all the government contracts held by his companies. Many politicians from both parties have commented on the feud, as have members of the general public.

But one particular opinion that has been said is that perhaps #KamalaHarris was right, and perhaps we should let her say I told you so. One could argue that everything Trump has done is something that Harris tried to warn us about. For example, when you think of the Tariff Trump has put in place (and also took back), Harris told us in their debate that he was going to do it and ruin the economy.

So now that we are in the middle of 2025 all these things that Trump has done have affected so many Americans' lives. Everything that Kamala said Trump would do is coming to fruition, and one can’t help but wonder does Kamala deserves to have her version of a victory lap. A victory lap that consists of her informing people of the things he warned us about, mixed with what we can do in the future to make sure that America’s democracy is never in danger again like it is now.
