On May 6, 2024, firefighters responded to a structure fire at an apartment complex on Oriole Boulevard in Duncanville, Texas. Tragically, they discovered the lifeless body of 55-year-old #ReginaPhillips inside the apartment. She had sustained a gunshot wound to the head.
Regina Phillips had worked for Child Protective Services (#CPS) for 19 years, according to her family. Authorities immediately launched an investigation into her death. During the course of their inquiry, they took a person of interest into custody on unrelated charges. Fortunately, there were no other occupants inside the apartment, and this incident appears to be isolated, posing no risk to the public.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working to uncover the circumstances surrounding Regina Phillips’ tragic demise.
