GARYVILLE, La. — On Tuesday, May 7, before 7 p.m., a double shooting occurred on Sherman Walker Street in #Garyville, Louisiana. The St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to the incident, where two victims were found.
One of the victims, #TodmoniqueJoseph, age 37, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other victim sustained injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Residents in the neighborhood told deputies what they witnessed during the incident. An investigation revealed the women were driving in the area when the shooting happened, and after being struck, the vehicle reportedly crashed into a pole. A resident said once he got to the car, he noticed there was blood everywhere.
Deputies add that a child was found in the backseat at the time of the crash.
The suspect, #TimothyJohnson, is currently wanted on charges of second-degree murder and two counts of attempted second-degree murder. Detectives were able to identify him as the person responsible for the crime through further investigation.
