Police identify woman killed in Hazelwood shooting

Portland, OR - A tragic incident unfolded last Thursday in a #Hazelwood apartment, where #LaquondaFullerHudson, 31, was shot and killed. The Portland police confirmed the incident and have arrested a suspect.

Fuller-Hudson’s family is devastated by the loss. They shared with KOIN 6 that they have a long journey ahead, but they find solace in the fact that Fuller-Hudson’s memory will live on through her two children. Fuller-Hudson was found dead from a gunshot wound in an apartment on SE 146th Avenue on the night of May 23. The suspect was arrested shortly after the shooting.

The family revealed that Fuller-Hudson only knew the suspect for a short time. They hope that this tragic incident can bring attention to the issue of domestic violence, a problem that is often overlooked or ignored.

Investigators have confirmed that the suspect is currently in police custody at a local hospital. He is being treated for injuries from a separate incident that occurred after the shooting, but before police found and arrested him. The suspect’s name is not being released at this time.

As the investigation continues, our thoughts are with the family and friends of Laquonda Fuller-Hudson during this difficult time.
