32-year-old Shaquisa Sims killed in Uniontown shooting

UNIONTOWN — A violent incident unfolded outside a restaurant in Uniontown on Sunday, leaving one woman dead and two others injured. The shooting occurred around 9:30 p.m. at Something Different, a restaurant located on Austin Street.

According to Lt. Tom Kolencik of the Uniontown Police Department, an argument broke out among three individuals inside the restaurant. The owner intervened, instructing the group to take their dispute outside. The situation escalated, resulting in three people being shot.

#ShaquisaSims, one of the individuals involved in the argument, was found shot and lying on the ground in front of the restaurant. She had been shot in the torso and was later pronounced dead at the hospital. #JasmineJohnson, a friend of Sims, was also shot in the wrist.

Witnesses reported that #AndrewHoward, identified as Johnson’s boyfriend, shot the two women before fleeing the scene. Howard, who was also injured in the incident, is now facing charges of criminal homicide in connection with Sims’ death.

The circumstances of Howard’s injury remain unclear. “We don’t know if that was from someone else or accidentally shot himself,” said Lt. Kolencik.

The investigation into this tragic incident is ongoing. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
